90’s Nostalgia and Folkestone are never far from my creative influence. 

And with this piece I make 8 year old me very happy. Based on the original design for the 90’s play mats.

Town Planner squeezes in the modern day town, over the existing roads and paths. To take on a new local identity. There are observational comments in almost every part of this. Regarding how I see the WHOLE Towns development. But is more a marking in time of the place we all love. The colours and the shapes take me back to a simpler time.

It follows on from my 'Folkopoly' work 2010, that went on to become a board game for game nights at local bars, as well as a sell out print from a little gallery on church Street. It was basic, £20, rolled up with an elastic band and it was yours. People went nuts for them. I still get messages today asking if it’s available. I sold the last one I owned recently for circa £300 so might be worth getting you hands on these now!

Each one is signed and embossed. Comes flat in a Poly-Bag.
