As part of OpenArtFolke'24 in Folkestone, Kent.
I will be flinging open my art studio doors in Folkestone and showcasing my Under The Arches prints for the very first time.
The series of works showcases the vistas found within some of the 84 arches on Coronation Parade on Folkestone's Sunny Sands.
After the OpenArtFolke 24 Launch party at Kollective on The Old High Street, I will be hosting a private view (read drinks and art) on Friday 13th September 6-9pm.
This will be the first time the series of arches have been hung and shown. With 84 arches to draw and 10 now complete, this body of work moves in to autumn and over the course of the year will document the changing landscape and seasons across the bay.
The work invites you to take in a moment, to frame something recognisable, to shift your own perspective, even if only a little, and to witness something otherwise lost to tide.
The series showcases 10 uniquely worn and eroded arches. Each one uniquely different like a finger print. Creating a mask for the view, and placing them inside the arch themselves.
The horizon line is maintained as the arches curve around the beach. bringing the harbour arm in and out of attention and focus.
You are invited to imagine that moment in time, inside the arch itself.
The work will be available in limited numbers. With 20 of each print being offered during this exhibition as a print, or framed in the gold aluminium frame and mount as displayed at my exhibition. There will be an edition total of 84 prints per arch drawing, representing the 84 arches along the parade. These will be released as the work is shown and grows over the next 2 years.

Autumn, winter and spring will soon arrive, and with that more in the series. The aim is being a complete set of 85 arches by Summer 2026, each with an edition of just 84 prints.
